screenwriting
Finn's primary passion and medium is screenwriting, as she finds it to be the most impactful and involved form of storytelling, and she is excited by the creative new ways to express the human condition that result from the filmmaking process. She has won awards for her screenwriting, placing third in the Cinelon 48 Hour Film Festival and winning the Shipwrecked Comedy Writing Competition. She also worked as a staff writer for Lucky Day, a short episodic audio drama series, which won the Best New Podcast at the International Student Broadcasting Championship. Finn is currently co-creating and executive producing Hot Minute, an original six-episode dramedy series, scheduled to conclude production in the spring of 2025. She is also currently writing sketch comedy for the Instagram comedy collective,
Good Sport, Old Chap.
playwriting
Finn originally developed her passion for the screen from her love of theatre. She has a proficiency for writing for the stage, having produced two of her own shows, Villains Got Talent and Call Me, Beep Me, which won the Ardrey Kell Playwriting Showcase and awarded her the Ardrey Kell Theatre Scholarship. She has contributed as a writer in the yearly NewWorks 24 Hour PlayFest since she began attending Elon University in 2023.
narrative nonfiction
Finn excels at writing narrative nonfiction; taking the everyday and crafting it into gorgeous literary pieces that are reflective of deeper emotional, physical, and philosophical concepts. An enthusiast of the medium and the artistic clarity narrative nonfiction evokes, Finn is proud to have been featured in Elon University's Literary and Art Journal, Colonnades, where she now serves as the head editor of the nonfiction section of the 77th Edition for the 2025-26 academic year. She also received third prize in the Frederick Hartmann Contest from Rax King, author of Tacky and Sloppy, for her piece "Ibrahim-ya 'Uber' 'Driver'" in 2026.

opinion pieces
In a rapidly changing and unstable world, a lot of people have taken to writing on the internet to share their opinions. Finn is (unsurprisingly) one of those people, and she has began independently releasing her opinion pieces. These works integrate personal stories with socio-political topics and research to create pieces that are both informative and emotionally impactful. She has amassed hundreds of likes and comments on her writing on Instagram and has since begun transitioning the first few pieces of her collection over to a website, Asterisk*.
fiction + poetry
A fan of the fantastical, Finn also writes narrative fiction and poetry in addition to the myriad of other forms of writing she enjoys. She has received recognition from Jared Lemus, author of Guatemalan Rhapsody and won third prize in the Frederick Hartmann Contest for her flash fiction piece "___" in 2025. She has also received honors for her poetry collection i forget i'm a person sometimes in the Primavera Poetry Contest in 2025.
